To really know a place you must draw it first. This is the view of the NYC Department of City Planning’s Urban Design Office, led by the city’s Chief Urban Designer, Alex Washburn, and Deputy Chief Urban Designer, Jeff Shumaker. Please join Alex and Jeff, along with Skye Duncan and Thad Pawlowski of the UD Office, in drawing Paley Park. Bring your sketchbook, favorite pen and a measuring device—a measuring tape, your foot, your choice—for a lunchtime drawing class. We hope to see you there! The event is free, but please register. Registration is required to get the indoor location in case of inclement weather.
